A great buy!!

My only concern about purchasing this saucepan was that it was shallow. Then I received mine. I love it. It is perfect for everyday use. I now do not have spill overs when making things like rice or when boiling potatoes. I highly recommend this item. I now have bought 2!!

a good buy

i bought this pot a month ago and have been cooking all my meals in it. it is easy to clean and required very little oil. food cooks really wel and the shape of the vessel is perfect as it avoids any overflows.

i would recommend this pot to anyone who is interested in calphalon products. when i received the lid there was a slight dent in it but i called calphalon customer service and they very promptly send me a replacement lid at no extra charge.

A quality saucepan, solid, attractive, works well.

I bought this shallow saucepan and it works rather well. It has a quality feel, very solid and sturdy, and is attractive too! The nonstick is good quality and food cooks more quickly because the pan has more surface area. I use this pan for soups mainly. A little heavy, but isn't every quality pan heavy? Looks attractive and I got a great price, less than it is now. All in all, a great deal! Much better deal than I could have gotten in the store, that's for sure!!

Great Product !!!!!!

I bought one of these mixers for a wedding gift, paying full price off a bridal registry, and thought afterwards, I would like one of these for myself, but not at this price. When I saw the deal for a reconditioned unit, I just assumed it was to good to be true. But I took a chance, and I'm glad I did. It arrived in perfect condition, no blemishes, or problems with the motor. I'm not sure how much I will use it, but I'm a gadget freak, and it looks great on my kitchen counter. I chose pink, it looks great in my black, stainless steel, and pink kitchen. I only had one concern through the whole process, and that is the carton it was delivered in. It was flimsy cardboard, somewhat crushed, with very little tape holding it together. The mixer itself was held in the box by two small pieces of foam. As I said, it arrived in perfect condition, but I hope that wasn't just luck. I think this item could be packed better for shipping.

Great mixer, great value

Having had good experiences in the past with factory re-conditioned items, I took a chance on this one -- and was not disappointed.

The mixer is solid, quiet, powerful, and looks terrific on the kitchen counter. We have used it for kneading bread dough to whipping cream. It does everything well and came with all of the accessories that we needed.

Great Beginning but Dead End

I needed a mixer that would knead my bread for me which I make twice a week. I loved it when I first got it (Aug 2004) but last night it died (May 2005). The bread I make is the only bread I can eat so I went out and bought a new Pro 5 Kitchen Aid with a 450 watt motor. Hopefully this will be able to handle the bread (only 2 loaves at a time). The mixer is supposed to knead bread and my recipe isn't any larger than the one in the Kitchen Aid book and I didn't knead on any higher speed than 2 but this mixer (size of motor or reconditioned motor to fault?) couldn't take it. If the buyer wants to knead bread twice a week, I wouldn't advise this mixer.

Great looking product but.................

Everything looks great and works well. The only problem is, you have to put all the accessory on it to make it work. The processor will not start chopping unless all the accessory is latch perfectly. I understand it's a protection mechnism to not let your finger get chopped off, but this also means that I will have a hard time dripping olive oil into the little hole and more things to wash. Especially when the top attachment which contains two parts cannot be seperated, it is hard to wash it clean. It will not be as easy as you see on tv, you can't just put on two part and start chopping, you have to put on all the parts.

Cuisinart is the food processor of choice.

Need to say very little. This is the original workhorse of processors and it is an earned reputation. Works great, cleans easily and never fails. Highly recommended!

great for bread and everything

Background: I bought this Cuisinart after reading all the positive reviews on this site. I bought it mainly for making bread because my mother raves about making bread with hers. I already had a small food processor for chopping, so I wasn't too concerned about that.
Opinion: I have made great bread with this (rustic style) with no problems, and it really is easy. I actually prefer this one to my smaller food processor for chopping, because the blade sits closer to the bottom of the bowl and so is better for chopping small quantities. So far I haven't gotten the slicer to work as well as it does in the video (things fall sideways in the tube, etc), but I haven't tried too hard. I only cook for two, and I do not think it is too big. In fact, it's much better than the smaller one because I can slice several things into one bowl. Furthermore, I have sometimes found it to be too small (for making cole slaw, for example).
I am here now to get some additional blades. I recommend getting an additional, thinner slicer blade if you want to make coule slaw. The one that comes with the machine is a little too thick,

Yogurt is a great, guilt-free snack for both adults and kids. With this yogurt maker, it's easy to add favorite flavors--including exotic and sweet fruits, rich crunchy nuts, and natural sweeteners--to basic yogurt. Just follow the recipes, supplied by the manufacturer, and a nutritious snack, with very little fat and no preservatives (like most commercial brands), is not too far away. Making yogurt takes from 4 to 10 hours to process, depending on desired tartness of the batch. Absolutely the best yogurt I've ever had!

This product is really easy to use (although it's not quite as easy as I thought when I bought it - I was thinking I could just mix together the ingredients and pour into the maker but you need to bring the milk and dry milk to 180 or so and then cool down to 100 - 110 before adding the starter or 1/2 cup yogurt and pouring into the maker). I've found that heating and cooling the milk before is not that hard. I've never had a problem with the yogurt not setting. It's always come out great and tastes so much better than store bought (I never really liked yogurt before making my own. I was eating it because it's good for me ;) I LOVE the homemade kind!). So, with this product I'm saving money, eating healthier, and enjoying the best tasting yogurt ever. Win! Win! Win!

Great for the price. Four and a half stars.

Basic yogurt maker. Great value. We're getting a lot of use out of it and have probably made enough yogurt in the first few weeks to more than cover cover it's cost. I hope the plastic construction holds up over time.

Most of all I would very much like to see a two quart (or larger) version as we often prepare food for groups of 20+ people.

Just what I was looking for...Great price, too.

This yogurt maker is easy and convenient to use and I'm very happy I chose it over the brands that use multiple containers. It takes around five minutes of my time and makes enough to last the week. I use a yogurt starter from the health food store rather than the box recipe, and it turns out like regular yogurt, just like I wanted.
